Dharmist is a Leicestershire resident, currently living in Birstall, and previously growing up in North West Leicestershire. Amer moved to Leicester to study Economics, prior to living and working in the county for three years, before returning to London to be closer to his family. 

Both of Fortis Private Wealth Limited’s founders are keen cricketers and supported each other as captain and vice-captain of Syston Town Cricket Club 2nd XI from 2017 to 2019. Dharmist continues to represent the club he joined at the age of 8 and is now an active member of the club’s committee, as well as continuing to represent the senior sides throughout the summer. The company also continues to support the club through sponsorship on an ongoing basis. 

Outside of the above, Dharmist is also a member at Birstall Golf Club, often enjoying a round, and some well-earned time spent at the 19th hole, with family, friends, contacts and clients. He was also proud to win the prestigious Faulkner Trophy at the club in 2021.

Dharmist also works with charities in the local area, having previously helped in the organisation of the Rothley and Soar Valley annual golf days until their cessation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which provided funding to the Leicestershire Air Ambulance Service, Rainbows and LOROS, amongst others.

Both directors are also keen networkers in Leicestershire and are members of various networking groups within the city and wider county.
